Student Success Statement
“You have only always to do what is right. It will become easier
by practice, and you enjoy in the midst of your trials the pleasure of an
approving conscience.”
Robert
E. Lee
I
think this means that you always have the choice to do what is right. There is
never a time where the right choice is not present. Also as you do it more, you
will begin to find it easier to do these acts. The more you do them, the more
you get used to these acts of right. The same goes for doing the wrong. The more
wrong choices you do, the more you get used to them and the more they get
easier. Also the more you do these acts of rightness, the more they feel good. You
begin to feel that your conscience has been fed. Not only will you feel good
inside though, you might also get gifts from people that appreciate your acts.
They may be physical gifts or verbal gifts. All gifts are good. Unless they are from your grandma. Knit sweaters aren’t good gifts.
