I think that the quote can mean that if you invest in being a good person by committing yourself to being good, then you will not fail yourself. I think this quote is pretty simple but means a lot. If you stay a good person for a long time then you won’t have to be afraid of failure. I would think that investing in not being good, wouldn't be such a good idea.
