“Set your goals high, and don’t stop till you get there.”
Bo Jackson

This quote is simple and self-explanatory, you have to set high goals and never give up on them. I guess it is natural to set objectives high, but not too high. If you want to enter congress or something, you shouldn't aim to be president or if you are inexperienced in a subject and you have to participate in an action of that subject, don’t aim for the outcome to be perfect, aim for it to be excellent.

“You can’t put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the farther you get.”

Michael Phelps
22 Olympic Medals (18 Gold)

This quote is basically saying that you can do whatever you want, whatever you aspire. You can’t put a limit on dreams or desires, if you hope for something long enough you might be able to make it a reality. Also you shouldn't let anyone disrupt your dreams; go for whatever makes you happy. Of course, if what makes you happy is something along the lines of murder, rape, torture, animal cruelty, abuse, and anything else immoral or illegal then you should probably not do that, please.

Restoring Faith in Humanity

In this video I saw many dangerous situations occur and then one or a few people would come and commit an act of righteousness. In some parts of the video, it wasn't just one person who chose to help someone, it was a group of people and even a community at one point. This video shows how some people actually care and can show kindness in the face of peril. And not only do acts of generosity come in the form of helping someone, in some parts of the video people were helping threatened animals. That shows that not everyone is selfish and malevolent, sometimes they are selfless and brave.

“Try a little harder to be a little better.”
Gordon B. Hinckley

This quote is simple and self-explanatory; if you try harder, then the outcome of your efforts will be better. The amount of effort you put into something will be equal to the quality of the outcome.
Medical Illustrator

Duties and Responsibilities:
Medical illustrators produce resources such as photography and graphic images for professionals involved in patient care, teaching, education and research. There are four specialist areas: clinical photography, graphic design, medical art, and videography.

Salary: $35,000 - $50,000

Education: In order to become a medical illustrator, they had to have a major in art and a minor in science or vice versa. Certification as a medical illustrator requires a graduate degree in medical illustration, a portfolio review, and successful completion of a national examination.

Reflection: I think I would like to become a medical illustrator because I think this would come easily for me. I am a good artist but the only problem I have is that I am really bad at the perception of space and length, so in order to draw these detailed designs of the subject of the body I would need to become better at perceiving length.

“If you want to achieve excellence, you can get there today. As of this second, quit doing less-than-excellent work.”
Thomas J. Watson

I think what the quote is trying to say is that the only way to achieve excellence is to actually try the hardest that you can. If you try the hardest that you can then that work will be excellent because it will be the best you can do. Anything less than your hardest will not be excellent because you did not want to achieve greatness, you wanted to slack off.
Medical Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:
Medical Assistants do plenty of things. They can instruct patients about medications and special diets, prepare and administer medications as directed, authorize drug refills as directed, telephone prescriptions to a pharmacy, draw blood, prepare patients for X-rays, take electrocardiograms, remove sutures, and change dressings. They also facilitate communication between the patient and other health care professionals. Their duties range from these to many, many other things.
Salary: $17,000 - $18,000
Education: While some employers may provide on the job training, many give preference to applicants with formal medical assistant education. Another way candidates can distinguish themselves is by obtaining industry-recognized credentials, such as Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).

Reflection: I would not like to be a medical assistant because I think it would be a bit much for me.

“Paint a masterpiece daily. Always autograph your work with excellence.”
Greg Hickman

I think what he is trying to say is that every day we should do something glorious and we should show that we did it with excellence by owning it, trying our hardest to do those things. The masterpiece is a metaphor for the things we can do every day and the autograph is a metaphor for our efforts in doing these things.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Licensed practical nurses work under the direction of registered nurses and physicians.  They care for injured, handicapped, and sick patients.  Their duties include such tasks as taking temperatures, blood pressures, pulse, give injections, change dressings, and help give patients baths.  In general, they care for patients in hospitals, nursing homes, and extended care facilities.  Some practical nurses work in private homes.
Salary: $16,000 - $23,000
Education: Individuals wishing to work as an LPN must be 18 years old, hold a high school diploma or a GED, be able to pass a drug test, a criminal background check, complete a training program, and obtain a license. It is helpful for LPNs to be in good physical condition, possess patience and be able to communicate clearly.

Reflection: I think I would be okay with becoming a LPN because it seems like a stable and fulfilling job.

“It’s not the will to win, but the will to prepare to win that makes a difference.”

Paul “BEAR” BRYANT

I think that this quote means that the quality of a champion is not the desire to win alone, but the preparation, training, planning, etc. that should come with the desire to win. I agree with this quote because we have to work to get what we want. We, as a human species, will always want something, and it will never come without a price. The only thing that will grant us this object of desire is if we truly try to obtain it. Craving it alone is useless, we have to earn it.
Industrial Hygienist
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties of industrial hygiene are dedicated to the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, communication, and control of the environmental stressors of a work place. These stressors are divided into categories of biological, chemical, physical, ergonomic and psychosocial.
Salary:  $40,000 - $60,000
Educational Requirements: A career in industrial hygiene requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in occupational health and safety, environmental health engineering, or the physical sciences.  Many jobs require certification and/or a Master's Degree in these, or related, fields.  Certification requires successful completion of the American Board of Industrial Hygiene examination.

Reflection:  I would not like to be an Industrial Hygienist because it sounds like a dangerous job, and I would not like to be in those positions.
