Occupational Therapy
Duties and Responsibilities: Occupational therapists help people with mental, physical or social disabilities to independently carry out everyday tasks or occupations. They work with children and adults of all ages, whose difficulties may have been presence since birth, or the result of an accident, illness, ageing or lifestyle.
Occupational therapists create individual treatment programs to help people carry out their daily tasks and to do so with more confidence and independence. They may suggest changes to the person’s environment, whether that be at home, work or school, and may introduce the use of equipment which will help with some activities. Occupational therapists review the treatments periodically, evaluate progress and make changes to the treatment as needed.
Salary: $26,000-$45,000
Education: Occupational therapists must have at least a master’s degree. Their degree field must be in occupational therapy and they will need a state license to practice. Other important training to have includes CPR and BCLS. Personal skills to have includes excellence in communication and interactions with others and compassion as well as patience.

Reflection: I guess if I really wanted to I could become an Occupational Therapist. It seems like an okay job, there seems to be some simplicity in this job. The only thing which I am missing is people skills. I need some of those.
