Orthotist

Duties and Responsibilities: Orthotists design medical support devices and they measure and fit patients for them. The medical support devices include artificial limbs such as arms, hands, legs, and feet. Orthotists are often associated with Prosthetists because they are both similar professions.
Salary: $25,000 - $40,000
Education:    You might want to look into some colleges and universities that offer bachelor degrees in orthotic and prosthetic programs.  These programs include courses in anatomy, physics, mathematics, mechanical drawing, and the use of materials used in the making of devices.  After a year of experience a person may apply for certification.
Reflection: I would not like to be an Orthotist simply because it doesn’t interest me.
